Passing the Torch, Making the Game Enjoyable
Here at Columbia Lakes, we've got a long and storied history of golf instruction, seeing as how we've only been around since the 1970's.
A veritable "Who's Who" of Texas golf has passed through our doors and graced our fairways and greens. Names like Kathy Whitworth, Mark Steinbauer and "The Golf Doctor" Charlie Epps have established us as a true teaching golf facility.
And now that torch has been passed to PGA Pros Bob Putt and David Garver.
A variety of golf clinics and programs are available. Teaching is provided for all levels of experience, from beginner to advanced, by Bob and David. And because the future of golf is critical to the growth of the game, Bob and David are enthusiastically active in Junior golf.
Not so much a philosophy as a way of life, Bob says you need the fundamentals to better your game. He focuses on your pre swing (75% of your game) and your in swing (25% of your game).
Bob's a student of the game, and the game is filled with his students ... including Scott Verplank, Christi Cano, Mark Brooks, Mike Brisky, Alex Rodriguez, and Judy Rankin. He's taught with 15 touring pros including Chi Chi Rodriguez, Tommy Kite, Charles Coody and Ben Crenshaw. Bob literally wrote the book! It's called, "All you gotta do is aim!"
